Delivered on 11/3/1985
Pastor Rick begins this series by looking at David in the Psalms to illustrate six ways not to handle our hurts. Next he looks at Job and what he did to recover from resentment, and he teaches us how to forgive ourselves by releasing our regrets. Pastor Rick uses the story of the Prodigal Son to teach us about God’s love in a message offering hope for hurting parents; uses the example of Paul in 2 Timothy 4 to teach us how to overcome loneliness; and again uses Paul’s example from Acts 27:9-29 to teach us how we can stay calm in a crisis.
