We were desperate! It was in July 1995, that we sat in the creek pouring and crying over the Building for Life material. By November, we had the largest offering in the history of the church. One year later, the building was done and the walls resounded with the rejoicing of worship.

We raised $60,000! We started our Forward in Faith campaign, modeled after Building for Life, shortly after constituting as a church. We paid off our current building and began the design stage of our next. Your kit was the only real cost we incurred and the response to our campaign was tremendous! Most of all, God was found (once again) to be faithful!

We received more than $10,000 on commitment We set a base goal of $50,000, used the Building for Life (BFL) materials, and got $86,000 in commitments for three years. On commitment day, we received the largest single offering in the church's history, more than $10,000 ($9,000 for BFL and the rest in church offering). Now after 16 months, we have received more than $40,000 of the money pledged.

A modified Building for Life approach We used a modified Building for Life approach. We did one-year commitments and re-invented the program each year by preaching a series of messages before each new commitment period. We believe it was very successful. It kept our people focused on reaching out and not just on raising money for a building.
Ed Litton Mobile, Ala. (Church Size 500-1,000)
A simple but powerful plan! We pray that when we locate the actual building that hearts will be moved to give toward what they can see even though the Bible says we should walk by faith and not by sight. So far, we have raised $285,000 of our 330 pledged amount in less than one year. Our goal was $450,000.

Building for Life stretched and challenged everyone in their walk with the Lord We did [Building for Life] a year before we started building and within two years, the building was paid for. Pastor Rick's material is the best that I have come across. It did not just help raise dollars but it built people with a mindset of (giving) stewardship as a lifestyle. It stretched and challenged everyone in their walk with the Lord.
Dwight Mason Sugarcreek, Ohio (Church Size 500-1,000) It tripled our offerings I committed $1,500 for the cash offering before presenting the program to the leadership. Two days later, I received three times more. Testimonies like this became common after we started the Building for Life campaign. Last year, our church collected about $40,000 in tithes and offerings. This amount has tripled.
Juan Gulloso White Plains, N.Y. (Church Size 1-500) We set a goal of $1.1 million and quite miraculously we hit our goal exactly! We needed a new youth facility. I adapted the Building for Life kit to fit our church. We set a goal of $1.1 million dollars and quite miraculously we hit our goal exactly! The congregation is exuberant and it has elevated me to a new level in their eyes. The small investment for the kit really paid off!

We raised $39,000 in cash offerings! I found the materials to be extremely thorough and easily adaptable. Our church of 140 was attempting to raise money to purchase land. Our goal was to raise $30,000 in cash offerings for the land and $300,000 in commitments. On commitment Sunday, we received a $39,000 in cash offerings and commitments totaling $307,000. Greg Doebler Johnson City, Tenn. (Church Size 1-500) We received more than $180,000 in one single offering The church was averaging 230 and was two years old. In one single offering, we received more than $180,000 in cash and more than $600,000 in three-year commitments. As of Easter Sunday 2000, three years later, more than $1.5 million in cash has been given. We are now in our new facility, averaging 1,200 in worship. Jimmie Davidson Abingdon, Va.
